I have wanted to do this image for months in readiness for D Day for my dad who you see in this picture, but life gets in the way and before you know it the day has passed BUT never forgotten.
So I dedicate this image to my wonderful Dad who would have stood and saluted those that lost their lives.
By the trenches I hold my breath
waiting for my death.
Here the gunshots and the bombs
is this where our soldiers belong.
Now I lay in the grass
waiting for the war to pass.
Wear a poppy on this day
for several minutes stop your play
on the eleventh stand and pray
Apart from the soldiers and war plane you see in the background all images are from my own stock
